Children's Area |
36th Annual
The children’s area specializes in hands-on, interactive activities. There will be mini-concerts by two of our main stage performers. The Talespinners will weave their magic through stories, and Paul Halter is back, juggling bowling balls, flaming torches and rhymes! The following entities will be participating this year. Watch for a complete schedule as Festival time nears.
Three Rivers Waldorf School is located in the historic Lower North Side and Depot Neighborhood where the Mississippi, Black and La Crosse Rivers converge amidst scenic bluffs, prairies and wetlands. The school is a member of the Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America.
Comic juggler Paul Halter has been performing unique juggling shows since 1992. Paul combines top-notch juggling skills with the audience interaction, distinctive comedy and whimsical poetryyes, all at the same time. You’ll see why he’s one of the Coulee Region’s favorite entertainers.
The Coulee Region Herpetological Society, reptile hobbyists and breeders, will be on hand to introduce adults and children to some of their snakes, turtles, lizards and amphibians. They’ll tell about these fascinating animals and offer opportunities to touch and hold some of them.
Myrick Hixon Eco Park will have displays and hands-on activities geared to kids. They’ve been educating about the environment since 1983. Their vision is to achieve community understanding of, and respect for nature, and to protect the environment for future generations.
The Bluff Country Tale Spinners storytelling guild promotes appreciation of the art of storytelling and the development of storytelling skills among its members. Beginner through advanced tellers share stories and receive feedback from members. The guild meets monthly throughout the year.
