The La Crosse Area Quilters was formed in 1980 and their interests range from traditional to contemporary, from antique quilts to new patterns, quilted clothing, and accessories.  The members have appeared on television and display, demonstrate, and conduct workshops locally.

The Coulee Region Wood Turners have been in existence since 2000 and have over 70 members from the tri-state region.  Together they have fun teaching and turning wood.  They also participate in the Empty Bowls Project benefiting area food pantries. Darrel Bowman began making functional stoneware pottery more than thirty years ago, specializing in hand-thrown domestic wares(pots to be used in the home, primarily for preparing and serving food). He will be demonstrating the technique known as "throwing", that is, making pottery on the potter's wheel. Using soft clay and a slow-turning wheel, Darrel will show how he produces a variety of functional shapes--bowls, cups, pitchers, and jars. "There's something magic about it!" Darrel says.     So, come join in the magic.
