| Peter Mulvey began as a self-described "city kid" from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He played, wrote, and sang in bands while studying theatre at Marquette University. ROLLING STONE.com: "A voice lush and hushed that occasionally sinks into a whisper... imagery made all the more haunting by guitarist/co-writer David Goodrich, whose sundry string bending ranges from loose ramblings around the neck... to freeform explorations that recall John Scofield... surrealistic beauty." Peter will appear at the Sunday night concert. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Joel Mabus is a maverick in the folk music world. He defies any easy pigeonhole. By turns, he picks a mountain banjo to accompany an ancient ballad, sings a witty song about modern life, plays a sweet Irish melody on guitar, swings a hot jazz number, and then reaches deep for a soulful expression of values in a troubled world. He tops it all with a fiddle tune or old Carter family song -- all skillfully blended into a seamless flow. One fan said, “Its music from the heart that hits you right between the eyes.” A mainstay on the folk circuit these past 30 years, Joel has 18 albums to his credit. Joel will appear at the Saturday night concert. | ![]() |

They have always had musical wanderlust, specifically with honky-tonk, old-time, western swing and bluegrass music. “You can draw a line between all of these styles even though they are all from essentially the same era of rural and country music. | Award-winning songwriter, Jackie Tice, is a unique voice among songwriters. The co-mingling of Tice's Native American and Old European roots informs her musical and lyrical points of view, carefully combing through subjects from Shakespearian love to the call of Coyotes. “Musically buoyant and lyrically brave - folk-rock with Native American spirituality...Tice's songs capture instances of universal recognition and appeal,” writes Acoustic Guitar Magazine. Her recent CD, Second Skin, produced by Grammy-winner, Bill Miller, affirms what Italy’s premier music publication, JAM! Magazine, says, “Tice’s stylistic universe floats above the vast galaxy of adult contemporary folk.” Jackie will appear at the Sunday night concert. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Jonathan Delehanty Twenty-year-old Jonathan was a punk rocker until he turned to folk two years ago. In his music, there are echoes of Bright Eyes, Jeff Tweedy, Rufus Wainwright, and Ryan Adams. He grew up near Chicago, spent a couple semesters at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, and currently lives in Minneapolis, where he attends the U of M. A feature story recently ran on Jonathan in the entertainment section of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Jon Bream, veteran music critic at the paper writes: “…the 20-year-old from Chicago played two songs and absolutely slayed me”. He also quotes Jim Walsh, former music critic at the St. Paul Pioneer Press, on first hearing Jonathan : “I was knocked out…Jonathan really seemed like an old soul when I saw him. He gave me his cd and I listened to it nonstop for a week….He’s special.” Jonathan will appear at the Saturday night concert. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
